Marian Dioguardi presents a bold, fresh and intense vision arising from the daily life of observing. She presents oil paintings which she sees and feels as real and true. Dioguardi is a purist using only paint, panel and pallet knife. As a pragmatist living in an increasingly complex and shifting world, she is able to distill life’s complexity into form and color. Marian explores simple objects and the quiet overlooked scenes of our lives. While investigating the shapes and spaces created on the painting surface, Marian also gives us a contemplation on the space that everyday objects take up in our everyday lives. Her paintings of these every day and ordinary objects, whether they be a piece of fruit, a clothesline or a cup, are simply extraordinary. Marian’s paintings are included in numerous private collections from California to Maine, England, France and Italy.
